Join us for for a short presentation on New Changes to Colorado Sales Tax by Bryan Schmitt, CPA, CFP, MT, followed by networking with other professional photographers.

Effective December 1, 2018, the Colorado Department of Revenue has adopted new sales tax rules that will have a substantial effect on how businesses in Colorado collect sales tax. however, the Department is providing a grace period through May 31, 2019 to provide businesses adequate time to comply with these changes. 

Bring your questions and learn about this from a Colorado certified public accountant.

Bryan T Schmitt is a CPA who assists taxpayers and small businesses with taxes in Englewood CO and the surrounding communities. He has years of valuable experience as an IRS registered tax preparer.

Save the Date for an all day event with Joel Grimes! The morning will be a lecture talking about Branding and How to Get Work. The afternoon will be shooting and lighting demonstrations. There are a limited number of seats. This event will sell out, so sign up early to save your seat.

For over 27 years, Joel has worked for many of the top advertising agencies and corporations across the globe for clients such as Arizona Office of Tourism, AT&T, Broncos, Comcast, Goldman Sachs, Hewlett Packard, Hyatt, Kodak, Nikon, Pentax, Phillips 66, Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Pfizer, Qwest, Red Bull, Sony, Sturm Ruger & Co, United Global, USA Boxing, Visa, Volvo, and Xcel Energy. Over the years his assignments have taken him to every state across the USA and to over fifty countries around the globe.

After earning his BFA in Photography from the University of Arizona, Joel started a commercial studio right here in Denver, Colorado!!

In 1990, Joel produced his first coffee table book, ‘Navajo, Portrait of a Nation’ which received a number of photographic and design awards and produce an eighteen-month solo exhibit at the Smithsonian American History museum. Driven by the creative process, Joel views himself as an illusionist, creating portraits larger than life. “There is no face on the planet that is the same, my vision as an artist is to capture that individual uniqueness through the photographic process.”

Joel is an ambassador for the creative process by teaching workshops and lectures around the world. “I feel that by being an open book with my process I have an opportunity to inspire others to follow their dreams and passions to create”.

CPAC’s January 9 PhotoVox event is dedicated to helping photographers prepare for Month of Photography (MoP) Portfolio Reviews. Coming to Denver in March 2019, MoP Portfolio Reviews are an unparalleled opportunity for photographers to spend dedicated time with 30 influential professionals in the local and national photography community. Gallery owners, museum curators, editors, publishers, and collectors from Colorado and all over the US will gather in Denver to review work. In previous years, numerous photographers have left with opportunities to exhibit, publish, and sell their work.

This event is ideal for artists who have already registered for MoP Portfolio Reviews, or for those who are considering it.

Join us to hear expert tips from Samantha Johnston, CPAC Executive Director, and Wendi Schneider, artist and CPAC Board member.
