Per Miami-Dade County, beaches are permitted to reopen on Wednesday, June 10 and the countywide curfew has been lifted . View our reopening webpage as you begin to safely enjoy all that Miami Beach has to offer.

Today, the City of Miami Beach amended its  Emergency Measures , allowing for the following to reopen effective today, June 8, 2020:

  • 82 Street Skate Park
  • Racquetball courts

Miami-Dade County’s Emergency Order 21-20 has also allowed for the reopening of dog parks, doubles tennis and bike racks, effective today. Playgrounds and exercise equipment remain closed.

Summer Camp Update
The Parks and Recreation Department will be opening an extremely limited number of slots for the 2020 Summer Camp. Limited vacancies may be specific to the child's grade, gender and camp location. Selections for these available slots will be determined by a computer-based lottery system. Lottery selections will be random and based on the specific qualifications for each vacancy.

Registration will open on Thursday, June 11 at 8 a.m. and close at midnight. Please visit register.miamibeachparks.com .

Virtual Specialty Summer Camp
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering Virtual Specialty Camp programming for summer 2020! Camp will begin on Monday, June 15, register now, space is limited.

  • Dance Camp (beginners, intermediate and advanced sessions)

Historic Preservation Board Meeting
The Historic Preservation Board  will meet  tomorrow, June 9  at 9 a.m.  virtually via Zoom here:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82972053964. The meeting will be streamed live on MBTV Channel 660 on Atlantic Broadband or 99 on AT&T U-Verse.

MDCPS Food Distribution
Miami-Dade County Public Schools will continue to distribute breakfast and lunch meals throughout the summer at Nautilus Middle School.

B eginning this week the grab-and-go meals in our community can be picked up between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. 

Free meals for kids are also available through  FLIPANY,   Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services  and  Feeding Florida .
Virtual Sustainachella
We continue to bring Virtual Sustainachella to provide the community with the knowledge and tools necessary to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

North Beach Drive-Thru Food Distribution
South Florida Seniors in Action, Farm Share and Commissioner David Richardson will host a drive-thru food distribution on Wednesday, June 10.

The food distribution is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Please remain in your car and open the trunk when it's your turn in line.

COVID-19 & Antibody Tests Available
Antibody tests for COVID-19 are now available at the Miami Beach Convention Center testing facility located on 17 Street and Convention Center Drive.

The drive-through antibody testing is being conducted daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. with  a capacity of 80 antibody tests per day . Results are typically provided within one hour.

Testing is FREE  and being offered to anyone 18 years or older, regardless of COVID-19 symptoms. Active virus testing also continues daily at this site, with the option of drive through or walk up. The COVID-19 testing facility has the capacity for up to 750 tests per day. Testing is FREE and available to anyone, 18 years or older, regardless of COVID-19 symptoms. A patient that has been tested is welcome to be retested at any time.

Testing for Homebound Residents
The City is now offering in-home COVID-19 testing for  ALL homebound Miami Beach residents  regardless of age. Testing is by appointment only and residents who meet the aforementioned criteria should call the city’s customer service center at 305.604.CITY (2489) to request an appointment.

The customer service center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Since there are a limited number of tests, the city asks that only residents that meet the criteria schedule an appointment. In-home testing for homebound residents is provided by MedRite with the assistance of the Miami Beach Fire Department.
