Welcome to this week's edition of the LOOP. In this email, you will find everything that's happening over the next few weeks within our Mount Hope Community.

WHO IS JESUS?
We can learn a lot about who we are and our priorities simply by looking at our calendar. It reveals to us who or what is important in our lives. We are protective of the time we spend with people that are important to us and the activities and hobbies that we enjoy. So, how do we determine what takes priority in our lives?
In our lives as Christ followers, we are called to examine who or what comes first. How do we determine what's most important in our Christian walk?
Join us as we continue in our new series "Who is Jesus?," where we look closely at the words of the Apostle Paul to the Colossian Church. Here he unpacks who Jesus truly is and how these truths impact our lives.

FAITH JOURNEY WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Mount Hope is delighted to host the Faith Journey Women's Bible Study at our Belmont Location. Faith Journey is a multi-generational, multi-church Bible Study that welcomes homeschoolers and provides nursery care and a developed children's program for ages newborn to five. A session typically consists of coffee and chat as a large group, music, small group study, prayer and sharing, and lectures.
This year we will be studying Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. We will explore the problems confronting the Corinthian church - disunity, sexual immorality, greed, confusion about how a Christian should behave in a culture that has run amok, pride, and mistaking wit for wisdom. These issues are as evident in the 21st-century as they were in the first! Prepare to be challenged by this intense and thought-provoking letter, but know that there is comfort found here as well.

PRECEPTS BIBLE STUDY // KINGS AND PROPHETS
On Monday, September 9, we will begin a year-long Precept Bible study through
the
Kings and Prophets Series. We will be studying 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles and several minor prophet books.
This study will guide us to understand Biblical history from 11th to the 6th centuries BC, leading us to examine Godly kings and evil monarchs. Through our study, we will see how God works in the lives of individuals and nations.

BURLINGTON KIDS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER MEETING
We invite all our Burlington Kids Adventure Volunteers to a training session on Thursday, September 19 at 7pm in Burlington. If you volunteer in any capacity with our kids, either on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening, please join us as we learn more about this upcoming year of ministry with MHKA. Get to know other volunteers and be encouraged as we serve the Lord by serving our kids here at Mount Hope. If you have questions or to RSVP, please e-mail Donna Favini.

Need a "Moms Night Out"? Join us twice a month on a Thursday evening for honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood!
