Proposed Rule Change

LSC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on August 12, with a suggested revision to portions of 45 CFR 1610. The revision does away with the long used terms of “Fund” and “Entity” restrictions, replacing those two with “Extended,” “Standard,” and “Limited” restrictions. Click here to read the NPRM.

NLADA will be submitting comments. If you have any questions about this or would like to learn more about our LSC work, click here

Achieving the Challenge Vidcast Series
In the past year, NLADA interviewed several chief defenders from the Safety and Justice Challenge (SJC) Network  to learn about their work. These vidcasts not only display their deep knowledge of their craft, but also their passion and dedication towards reducing mass incarceration.

This month, we are releasing the final vidcast of our series. This interview with Ms. Keir Bradford Gray, Chief Defender, Defender Association of Philadelphia and NLADA Board Member, provides another glimpse into the work and the significance of collaboration among SJC stakeholders.  Click here to view the entire video.
