Design + Tech Connection Comes to New York City in December
|
Design + Tech Connection will take place on December 11, 2019, at Convene, 117 West 46th Street, NYC. The one-day conference, powered by the
NKBA
,
KBB

“Residential consumers continue to demand more complex, seamless design integration in their homes,” said
Bill Darcy, CEO, NKBA

They are looking for trusted professionals from the design, construction and tech integration spheres to work closely together, for harmonious design and installation of these systems.”
Programming for this new conference is being developed with an eye toward educating interior design, kitchen and bath design and building communities about the speed at which the tech field is evolving, and how to smartly design residential spaces with confidence and authority.
Industry authorities including Darcy; Julie Jacobson, founding editor of CE Pro; Chelsie Butler, executive editor of Kitchen & Bath Business, and other industry experts will lead conversations, panel discussions and presentations on the Internet of Things (IoT), home automation, security, wellness-related technology, principles of good design integration and how to create a smart business partnership to deliver beautiful and functional residential spaces.

Renovation Angel
, a 501c(3) non-profit and the nation's largest kitchen, bath and furniture recycler, and the
National Kitchen & Bath Association
today announced the creation of the NKBA Renovation Angel Luxury Kitchen Recycling Awards. This partnership and awards program recognizes the astounding work done by design professionals nationwide who have made the commitment to be responsible renovators and choose to recycle kitchens (cabinets, appliances, decorative plumbing and surfaces) when possible, making the world more beautiful inside and out. Renovation Angel
, you're not only helping to save the planet, but you’re also helping homeowners save tens of thousands of dollars in tax benefits and removal costs.”
The awards competition is free to enter and is open to all kitchen designers, architects, contractors, interior designers and other industry professionals. The requirements are simple. Industry professionals should visit
https://renovationangel.com/award/
and submit projects where at least 50% of the existing materials were recycled or donated. Projects must have been completed between January 1, 2017, and October 31, 2019.
