The Milford Youth Center is reaching out to YOU to help raise funds to build a music and multipurpose media center! For this reason, we are requesting your support to help the Center with our 3rd Annual Telethon, TODAY, Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 3-9 PM. In an effort to help the Center, after State funding was cut,  Milford TV offered to join forces and put on a telethon to draw attention to the Youth Center's endeavors to finish our multimedia and music room, areas that were not a part of the scope of the recent renovation.

Over the last two years, we were able to raise $15,000 through our Telethons and we are looking to reach our goal of raising $10K during this fundraiser! We are looking forward to our third Telethon in the hope to raise even more funds to come closer to completing the space, which we have received a quote for $50,000 to accomplish. As a thank you, all sponsors and donors will be recognized throughout the telethon broadcast and are welcome to join us as well!

There are many ways to donate and we would like to thank those who already have! Any donation is appreciated and would go a long way to help this room come to fruition!

Where does your donation go: Currently, the Town of Milford covers the salary of the Director, Assistant Director and the utility and maintenance bills of the facility. In order to run our free after school program for the community, the Center currently relies on individual donations, rental and summer fees, fundraisers, grants and support from the Town of Milford, United Way of Tri-County and the Teacher's Driving Academy. It's due to the generosity of local businesses, organizations and individuals that we are able to continue to offer free after school programming, an affordable summer camp, and provide a safe and fun environment for the youth of Milford.
Milford Youth Center (MYC) mission  is to provide a safe environment that promotes self esteem, builds character, and fosters the notion of community and the importance of respecting and serving others. For more information, click here .

The  MYC  works together with other community organizations to provide resources and opportunities for youth to make healthy decisions. The MYC works to provide local youth with the necessary activities and events that help them develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally through their childhood years. By providing Milford youth with these types of programs and a safe environment during the after school hours and during our monthly events, we hope to address adolescent risk factors as well as promoting the partnership among community members to ensure a comprehensive vision and plan for the health of the youth in the town of Milford.
