At the invitation of Congressman Ted Budd, I recently enjoyed the opportunity to moderate a panel discussion focused on workforce development in our communities. In addition to Ted, panelists included
Craig Goodson, President/CEO of Davidson County Economic Development Commission; Kate Gentry, Superintendent of Thomasville City Schools; Jeff Mitchell, Plant Manager of CPM Wolverine Proctor; and Michael Holmes, Corporate Training Manager of Egger Wood Products.
An audience of community leaders, school board officials, teachers, and college faculty and administrators attended. The conversation energized and reminded us all of the important work we’re doing in our individual and collective fields and to prepare students with in-demand skills required to succeed in the changing economy.
The future is here!
