(1) Important 2019 W2 Information (Institute Wide)

Payroll is preparing the 2019 W2 forms. These forms will be mailed to the mailing address that is in PeopleSoft. If no mailing address is listed in your PeopleSoft record, then the form will be mailed to your home address in PeopleSoft. Please take a moment to review your address in PeopleSoft to make sure it is correct before Noon on Friday, January 17.  

To update your address in PeopleSoft, navigate to myDetails by selecting Employee Self Service when you log into PeopleSoft. You only need to enter a mailing address if it is different from your home address. Make changes to your home or mailing address by clicking on the respective field.

The W2 forms will be mailed out before January 31. We do not have an exact mailing date at this time.  
 
Did you know that you can view your W2 via PeopleSoft Employee Self Service (ESS)? You can print this information and use it to file your taxes. Your W2 will be available in PeopleSoft by January 31. After logging onto PeopleSoft, choose myPay and then select the View W2/W2C Forms menu option on the left side of the page.


(2) Student Employment Opportunity (Students)

The SAiL Lab is recruiting for ten students to provide literacy intervention during an after-school program for first and second graders at the Harvard-Kent Elementary School. (3) Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Seminars (Faculty)

Mass General Hospital’s Executive Committee on Teaching and Education is hosting a series of seminars on clinical teaching and scholarship. The seminars take place from Noon–1:00 p.m. in Haber Auditorium, Blake 1 with lunch provided. The next two sessions are Thursday, January 16 (A Scholarly Approach to Curriculum Development) and Wednesday, January 22 (Education Study Designs: Why and How).


(4) Commencement Student Speaker Application and Information Session (Institute Wide)

Applications are due by Monday, February 10 for student speaker at the MGH Institute’s 2020 Commencement Ceremony. One graduating student will be selected to deliver a short speech on behalf of all 2020 graduates.  View more information and apply.

(5) Strategic Communications Offsite Retreat – Friday, January 17 (Institute Wide)

The Office of Strategic Communications will be at an off-campus event and will not send the Daily News on Friday, January 17. Please submit any items to run this week by Noon on Wednesday, January 15. The Daily News will continue on Tuesday, January 21.


(6) Open Teaching Week (Faculty)

All faculty are invited to participate in "Open Teaching Week," a new week-long event for IHP faculty to open their classes and create opportunities for colleagues to explore new pedagogies and spark conversations across disciplines. (7) Student Parking Registration – Building 199 Garage (Students)

Students looking to park at the Building 199 Garage should fill out a registration form and submit it to the parking office located on the first floor of the garage. Parking forms are also located on the fourth floor of the Shouse Building, outside office 416. Registration forms should be completed prior to arriving at the garage. (8) January 14 Opportunity Drawing (Faculty & Staff)

Peter Cahn won a $60 gift certificate to Nathaniel’s Restaurant at Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. All proceeds from the drawing, which occurs each workday throughout January, will go toward supporting the Center for Youth Wellness at Harvard-Kent Elementary School.
