Learn about all RVCC has to offer at the Fall Open House, Saturday, October 12, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The event, designed for high school students and adults who are interested in pursuing a college degree or certificate, will be held in the Event Center at the College's Branchburg campus.
During the event, participants are invited to tour the campus; meet faculty, current students and alumni; and learn about:
- Student clubs, organizations & athletic teams
- RVCC's innovative programs designed to help you transfer to top colleges and universities in New Jersey, across the country, and even in Europe
- Career training programs, designed in partnership with local industry, that can be completed in a year or less
- Ways to pay for college, including financial aid & scholarship opportunities
- The Community College Free Tuition program, and whether you may qualify

Music Festival, Community Day
Local music aficionados will be treated to plenty of guitar picking, acoustic blues playing, country tunes singing, chatting about songwriting--and much more--when the Theatre at RVCC presents Aiken & Friends Fest, North Branch, September 26-28. The weekend also will include a Community Day featuring free Planetarium shows and children's activities, artwork displays, and hand and arm massages from RVCC Cosmetology students.

Workforce Director on National Board
Joananne Coffaro, Director of RVCC's Workforce Training Center, has been elected to serve on the National Council for Workforce Education's Board of Directors. The NCWE is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges.

ExxonMobil, RVCC Authentic Engineering Experience
Four students in RVCC's Authentic Engineering Experience program recently kicked off their semester-long assignment at ExxonMobil Research & Engineering Company in Annandale. Under the supervision of Professor Peter Stupak, the student team will be developing an automated method for producing uniform catalyst particles as a necessary requirement for pilot plant experimentation.

Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar
RVCC student Noah Motz of Whitehouse Station has been selected as a 2019 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar. Motz, a Biology major, is one of 207 Phi Theta Kappa members selected for this honor, which includes a $1,000 scholarship.

Foundation Golf Classic
The RVCC Foundation raised over $148,000 at its 16th Annual Golf Classic, held this summer at Stanton Ridge Golf and Country Club. Net proceeds raised from the golf outing and the live and silent auctions provide student scholarships and support for RVCC's educational programming and institutional priorities.

New Transfer Agreement
RVCC and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia have signed a new agreement that will facilitate the transfer of RVCC graduates who are interested in continuing their education in the fine arts.

School Supplies Collection
Students in RVCC's Occupational Therapy Assistant program collected two-and-a-half carloads of donated school supplies this summer for United Way's "Tools 4 Schools" program. The school supplies are among those donated to 1,200 Hunterdon County elementary, middle and high school students.

Late Art Faculty Member Honored
The Arts & Design department is presenting Images of Life, an honorary, memorial exhibition of work by the late Christopher Brand Koep, through September 18, in the Art Gallery at the College's Branchburg campus. Professor Koep passed away in August 2018 after 30 years of dedicated service to RVCC and the community.

New Theatre Season
The Theatre at RVCC's upcoming season offers performances for every age and interest--from a three-day music festival, to a theatrical depiction of seven female activists, to classical ballet and a beloved Christmas tale, to Shakespearian fun and circus arts, and so much more.
