Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
Dear Roslyn Families,

I hope this email finds you safe and well.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation through this process. I also want to thank all the families, community members and staff who spent many many hours  throughout the last few months working together in order to be prepared to begin school in the healthiest and safest way possible.

In accordance with this guidance, the District has developed three options/models:

 *In-Person Learning
*Hybrid Learning (a combination of In-Person and Remote Learning)
 *Remote Learning

Furthermore, the Roslyn Reopening Plans can be found on our website and may be accessed by clicking the link below.

Governor Cuomo has communicated that the final decision regarding the reopening of schools will be made in early August.

It is important to understand that this is a "living" document that will undergo changes, revisions and updates as we move closer to the start of school and as more guidance from the various agencies (Governor's Office, NYSED, NYDOH) we rely on becomes available.  I understand that you may have additional questions. Please know that we will be holding meetings next week through our PFA in which will allow us to go into more detail specific to each area as well as answer questions and share feedback. In addition, the building administration will hold meetings to discuss the plan implementation as it applies to the respective buildings including procedures, transportation, technology, and health screening, among others.

As we navigate this new world that has overshadowed all aspects of our daily lives, now more than ever we need to work together, to stay strong together in ways that benefit everyone who lives and works in Roslyn. The healthy home/school partnership that has been the hallmark of the Roslyn brand has never been more important. We are more than ever before deeply committed to our children and will continue to provide for each one of them with the same devoted care and attention beyond modality and approach for our schools in the upcoming months.

As always, the health and safety of our students and staff remain paramount in all of our decisions. Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation and support.

Stay well, Roslyn.
