3rd - 6th Street Drainage Improvement Project

The 3rd - 6th street stormwater project has started with a completion date in January, 2020. The project includes replacement of drainage inlets, paving and curb replacement as needed and installation of drainage outfall check valves to prevent backflow of water on streets at high tides.
Belleview Estates Island Undergrounding Project

The Belleview Estates Island undergrounding project is currently in the electrical transfer phase from overhead to underground and is anticipated to be complete in November, 2019. Spectrum has started conduit installation and splicing to convert their facilities to underground. The street light installation will be completed after the transfer of all utilities to underground have been completed.
Stormwater Pipe Cleaning and Inspection

The Public Works Department has overseen the jet cleaning of oyster obstructed pipes throughout the City. A remote controlled camera is used to inspect the pipes after jetting. The City is also using video to detect backflow leaks in the system.
Code Enforcement

Code enforcement duties have been contracted to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff will provide up to 15 hours per week of code enforcement duties in the City. Please call (727) 229-8445 for any code enforcement concerns.
Finance and Budget Ad Hoc Committee

The City Council has established a Finance and Budget Ad Hoc Committee to review the current budget, examine current revenues, expenditures and capital projects and provide recommendations to optimize future demands on the City's resources. The Committee will have it's first meeting with the City Council at a work session on November 18th, 2019 at 6:00 PM.
