"Lana Melman is a leader in combating the cultural boycott campaign against Israel."
Greetings!

When the star of Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, posted on Instagram that now is the time to speak up against racism, she caught a lot of flak. Why is that? Because she is Israeli of course.
For serving, as all young Israelis do, 3 years in the Israel Defense Force protecting the lives of the citizens there, she was dismissed as a hypocrite.

Many people are aware of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign to pressure international artists and celebrities to cancel upcoming concerts and trips to Israel. They know about the harassment and threats those artists receive because they believe in the power of music and art to create bridges and foster peace.

What often gets lost is the impact that the BDS campaign has on Israeli artists who regularly face discrimination, cancellations, and attacks on their character.
Bigotry against Jews in other aspects of life is accurately called what it is: anti-Semitism. Bigotry against Israelis artists needs to be recognized as the same.
“I am glad to discover this group, as I write a lot about BDS in general. Hats off to you, Liberate Art, just read one of your articles. –  Barbara Kay, Journalist, National Post
