Seneca County Republican Party
I have received very sad news this afternoon. Jim Roberts has passed away after a long struggle with cancer. Here is the Advertiser-Tribune story.

Jim has served for nearly eight years on Tiffin City Council. He previously served as Seneca County Sheriff in the 1970s, as Republican County Chairman, and on many boards and committees throughout the community for decades.

In the early 1950s, he fought for our country in the Korean War, becoming fluent in Russian. A few years ago he was Seneca County Veteran of the Year.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin. His funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A Little Faith Ministries, 230 S. Washington St., Tiffin. His burial, with military honors by Seneca County United Veterans Council, will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Jim Roberts was one of the finest men I have ever met. I have known him since I was 11, and this dear friend will be missed.

Sincerely,
