WHAT'S NEW?
Welcoming Week
This week is National #WelcomingWeek.  
Redwood City 2020 has compiled a list of Welcoming Week activities in Redwood City- find a way to participate, including today's Fiestas Patrias! Yesterday, in partnership with Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), we held a Bystander Intervention Training. Participants learned new skills for safe intervention in the event of witnessing a hate crime or bias incident. This was an illuminating program that offered a great opportunity to learn for Welcoming Week.

Trivia Bee
Project READ Trivia Bee Do you play Trivia with your friends and family? Are you THE source of knowledge and information for your colleagues? If so, come play the Trivia Bee with Project READ! Get two of your friends, colleagues or family members to join you to compete for the coveted title of Trivia Champion of Redwood City. Space is limited, so sign up now! 
NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION
Wild Wild West
The  Redwood City Library Foundation 's 6th annual fundraiser will be held at  Devil's Canyon Brewery on October 5 from 6 until 9 pm.    
Enjoy a barbeque dinner provided by Crystal Springs Catering, craft beer, western entertainment, a photo booth, and a live auction with the always entertaining Frank Bizzarro.
 
Proceeds will benefit Library programs, including the new Makerspace in the Library project.  
 
Tickets are $65 through September 21 and $75 afterwards. To purchase tickets, go here
