Dear Friends of SARAH Inc.,
We are excited to announce several accomplishments here at SARAH Inc. This week, we entered Phase One of resuming in-person Enrichment Services. The first two days back at the programs have been successful and the individuals we serve are extremely excited to see their friends again.
The Employment Services programs have been slowly phasing back to in-person supports since mid-June, when the first group of workers returned to their jobs at the Coast Guard Academy. To date, more than 75% of those in the Employment Services programs are back to in-person supports.
I cannot thank the SARAH Inc. employees enough for the tremendous amount of work they provided to safely begin phasing back to in-person Adult Services. Countless hours have gone into developing and learning new safety policies and procedures, contacting families, preparing the program locations, and more. Although we are still working towards our “new normal”, we know we have taken the first steps in the right direction.
Additionally, we are excited to welcome ten new individuals to SARAH Inc’s Adult Services programs. Over the next few weeks we are celebrating with ten recent high school graduates who are joining SARAH Inc.’s Employment Services! Even during these are uncertain times, we are still accepting new people into our programs and we are excited to be meeting our new friends.
The KIDSTEPS Birth to Three programs have also been busy over the past several weeks. Starting July 1st, the KIDSTEPS program has expanded from 31 to 50 towns throughout Connecticut. We are now able to provide Early Intervention and autism supports to more families than ever before.
Moving forward, SARAH Inc. will continue to offer a combination of in-person and virtual supports. We want to thank everyone for their flexibility over the last few months. We will continue to send updates as they develop, and you can also check out our updates on our
