It's Almost Time for Walk-a-Thon 2019
The time has come for our first major fundraiser of the year - the St. Luke Parish School Walk-a-Thon! This year's Walk-a-Thon will take place on Friday, October 11 from 8:30 - 11:00 am. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 am.

Did you know that tuition only covers 83% of the cost to educate one St. Luke student? The difference is paid by those who generously support our fundraising efforts. In order to maintain the exceptional quality of education that St. Luke School provides, the annual success of the Walk-a-Thon and our other fundraisers is imperative.

In order to ensure the success of the Walk-a-Thon, all students are asked to collect pledges, with the hope that each student can earn at least $150 in pledges from family, friends and neighbors. For their hard work, students will be given out of uniform passes and other prizes!

Information packets and pledge sheets will be sent home with students tomorrow , so please check their backpacks. Each family will receive one packet. You can get a head start and set up your online giving account by clicking here

Corporate sponsors still needed
Corporate sponsors will have their logo on the event t-shirts, and all printed and online materials. All sponsorship funds go directly to St. Luke School so your support is needed. Click here for the sponsorship form. All forms are due to Sheila Price by September 16. Please email Sheila Price for more details.

T-Shirt Order Form for Adults
Tomorrow is the last day to turn in your order form for an official Walk-a-Thon t-shirt! Please complete this form and return to the office by tomorrow afternoon in order to get your t-shirt.
Cantors Needed for School Masses
Anyone in grades 4 - 8 can be a cantor! Those who are interested, please sign up on the list outside the Music Classroom. Our rehearsals are on Tuesdays after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. After students sign up we can see if Monday might be a better rehearsal day, so please sign up by Monday, September 16. Our first rehearsal will be on Tuesday September, 17. Hope to see you there!
Sign Up for Band
Students in 4th through 8th grade are invited to participate in band at St. Luke.  Beginning students can participate in a 4 week trial of all band instruments with no obligation to continue after the four weeks.  If your student signs up for band, he/she will receive a private lesson during the school day. Your student will also be eligible for the school band and one of three levels of the popular Monday Night Band program at Walther: a fun, relaxed, energized evening of playing as a group with friends from 13 other schools! In addition, your student will reap the other benefits of an instrumental music education: a sharper memory to help develop the abstract reasoning skills he/she needs for advanced math and science, stronger social skills, new friendships, teamwork, leadership, confidence, patience, higher self-esteem, and better time management skills.  Email Band Director Samantha Rose with questions or for information on how to sign up.
Box Tops
Collecting Box Tops is an easy way to raise money for St. Luke School! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents and they can be found on hundreds of household products. And now it's easier than ever because Box Tops is going digital! The new Box Tops app scans your store receipt to find participating products and instantly adds earning to our school online. Find the Box Tops app in the App Store on your smart phone. You can learn more here.

Fall Box Tops Contest
The classroom that collects the most Box Tops now through October 25 will win a special prize! Here’s how it works: Use the new app to scan your receipts or cut Box Tops along the dotted lines. Please send your Box Tops in a plastic baggie or envelope with your child’s name and teacher and drop them in Box Tops jar in their classroom. If you use the app, just jot down how many box tops you submitted on a piece of paper and put that in the Box Tops jar.
Join the St. Luke Children's Choir
Students in grades 1 through 8 are invited to join the St. Luke Children's Choirs. The Cherub Choir is for students in grades 1 - 4 and the Seraphim Choir for grades 5 - 8.
