2019 Transition Conference:
General Registration 

This full day conference will feature the Charting the LifeCourse Frameworks and Tools from the Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Co-founder and parent Jane St. John will lead us through the frameworks and tools to use in transition planning. The conference will also welcome families of teens and adults ages 12-26.

Registration is $75.00 per person. Fee includes continental breakfast, lunch buffet, and afternoon refreshments. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available.

Deadline for registration is Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Keynote Presentation by Jane St. John
Charting the LifeCourse Principals and Frameworks

Jane St. John is the Training and Development Specialist for the Charting the LifeCourse team at the UMKC-Institute for Human Development, UCEDD. Jane specializes in supporting families, supported decision making, family leadership and parent/family training.

Jane has been instrumental in the development of the Supporting Families Charting the LifeCourse framework and products, and is staff for the National Community of Practice for Supporting Families. Jane currently serves on the Missouri Guardianship Statutory Reform Task Force, Mo-WINGS. Jane is the parent of three young men (29 year old twin boys, and a 32 year old step-son). Her son Ben has a developmental disability. Jane is a strong supporter of community inclusion, and has worked closely in her community to promote inclusive practices.

Cambiando el Mundo de Personas con Discapacidad

Fundación Cambiando el Mundo de Personas con Discapacidad (CEMDPCD) nació de la iniciativa de una madre a la cual le sobrevino a varias circunstancias en la vida de su hijo: llegó a sus vidas una persona muy especial.

Foundation Changing the World of People with Disabilities (CEMDPCD) was born from the initiative of a mother who was overcome by various circumstances in her son's life: a very special person came into their lives.

Scholarship Opportunities

There are limited scholarships available to families who need financial assistance to attend the conference. The Arc of Massachusetts will award a $40 scholarship per family that will be applied to the conference registration fee. (Scholarships may be used for registration fees only.)

Overnight Accommodations

The Arc has reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 65 Prescott St, Worcester  for November 15, 2019 if anyone is looking for overnight accommodations. Please note that you must register for the room at this rate individually. This rate is available only until October 16, 2019.
