In honor of National Vocation Awareness Week last week, Campus Ministry put together a Vocations Panel of people living different types of vocations. Participants talked about their lives and how God calls them to holiness in unique ways.

Financial Aid Information Night
|
There will be a Financial Aid Information Night tonight at 7 p.m. in the Kyle Guyton Theatre, Room 102. Topics like Indiana Choice Scholarships (vouchers), Tax Credit Scholarships (SGO awards), Direct from BCHS Financial Aid and much much more will be discussed at this meeting. Bill Sahm, BCHS President, will discuss the BCHS Financial Aid Philosophy and Dan Thompson, Director of Business Operations, will get into the details of aid available, how/when to apply and other opportunities to help with affordability. Presentation normally lasts 30 or so minutes, followed by a Q&A.

Fall Sport Yard Signs: Orders due November 12
|
Recognize your winter sport athlete with a BCHS yard sign! Orders are now being taken: $25 for a one-sided sign or $35 for 2-sided (both sides are the same). This is an optional sign for personal yards.
Order deadline is November 12. A later order deadline will be offered for sports with later tryouts, such as boys basketball, or for football players not yet sure of winter sport teams. Questions? Mandatory 2022 Spring Break Trip Meeting: November 18
|
Student travelers and a parent need to attend this meeting on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. in Art Room A. Boys Volleyball Open Gyms

The Boys Volleyball team final open gym is Tuesday, 11/16, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Aux Gym.

BCHS Boys LAX Clinic: Grades 5-8
|
Bishop Chatard is offering a youth clinic for boys lacrosse players, grades 5 to 8. This clinic will hone player skills and grow player lacrosse IQ in a fun fast-paced clinic with the Bishop Chatard coaching staff.
The clinic will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at BCHS. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $35. Players must have an active US Lacrosse membership.
Players will need to bring full lacrosse equipment to the clinic: helmet, gloves, arm guards, shoulder pads, stick and water bottle. (Water will be provided, but players will need their own water bottle).

Boys Lacrosse Informal Practices
|
The BCHS Boys Lacrosse team is holding informal practices for any student who is interested in learning more about and experiencing boys lacrosse. There will be informal fall practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5:30 p.m. on the baseball field until November 18. Girls Basketball Alumni Night: November 24
|
Bishop Chatard is inviting all alumni girls basketball players who played during their senior year at BCHS to come back to BCHS for a special recognition night on Nov. 24 (the night of the BCHS vs Cathedral game).
We’ve been playing girls basketball at Bishop Chatard for 47 years and are inviting you back to BCHS for an evening of reminiscing, socializing and recognition. The alumni (and their families) will meet in the cafeteria during the JV game (anytime after 5:30 p.m.) for socializing. Then, the alumni will be introduced between the JV and Varsity games to the assembled crowd. The alumni and their families will then be invited to cheer on the Trojans as they battle the Irish in the Varsity contest that evening.

Canned Food Drive: Nov. 17

Bring in your canned goods on Wednesday, Nov. 17, for the annual BCHS Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive! The winning class will earn dress-down days on November 22 and 23. If the entire school brings in 15,000 items, we will celebrate with a school-wide prize! The canned food drive will be helping out the following organizations: St. Vincent de Paul, St. Augustine’s Home, Officer David S. Moore Pantry, International Gateway Pantry and Catholic Charities Crisis Office.

BCHS is looking for volunteers to join the Logistics Committee! Your job will be entering the fabulous donations into the auction bidding site. New this year – FREE lunch & breakfast for all students! The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved all schools to offer free lunch and breakfast (where available) to ALL students, regardless of income, for the entire 2021-2022 school year.
