A Message From Mrs. Hytjan

Dear Forest Hills Families,
I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation for your support as we end our second week of school. It has been a very successful start to our school year; our students have settled in nicely and we all are ready for a fantastic year of learning. Thank you to the families who attended our Cupcake Social on Tuesday night and who are planning to attend our Dinner and Dance event on October 4. We are so grateful to our PTO Board members who organize and facilitate our community activities and events.

I hope to see all of you at our Family Information Night on Tuesday, September 17. One of our goals this year is to intentionally strengthen families’ voices in the decisions we make at Forest Hills. Likely, your child’s teacher(s) has reached out to you asking for input as to how to make Tuesday evening’s event most beneficial for you. If you have ideas for the teachers, please let them know. Thank you.
Our Promise to You
Because we value our relationship and appreciate each of our students’ unique cultures and experiences, we believe that our partnership will positively impact your child’s success in school, therefore we will:

1. Communicate personally within the first two weeks of school
2. Be responsive to your phone calls and emails - within 24 hours
3. Honor & Celebrate your child’s success on a weekly basis
4. Call you throughout the year to share your child’s successes, strengths & goals
5. Communicate weekly about classroom learning & happenings
Check out our new Sensory Path!
Thanks to our PTO for funding the Sensory Path that was installed at Forest Hills during the summer. Be sure to ask your child if they have seen it yet. KARE 11 visited our school and did a feature for a broadcast. Take a look at what's new at our school!

Thanks to our Forest Hills Parents!
Thanks to all parents and students who helped repaint the United States map on our playground! We are so fortunate to have volunteers who are willing to give up their time to make Forest Hills be the best school it can be. We appreciate everyone who helped out.

This replaces the Eden Prairie Schools mobile app, which will no longer be offered in app stores. Please delete the app if you still have it on your device, as it is no longer supported.

We encourage you to visit our updated website. You can also save a shortcut for the website (or to a specific page) to your mobile device home screen by following these instructions for  Apple  and  Android  devices.
