Share the Plate for March: The Loft & PrideWorks

The mission of The Loft LGBTQ+ Community Center is to further the cause of inclusion, diversity, and pride through education, advocacy, and celebration, and to incorporate core values of respect, inclusivity, opportunity, and integrity. The annual PrideWorks conference serves LGBTQ+ students from middle school through college, along with their adult allies, in the Hudson Valley and Tri-State area. We collect for our Share-the-Plate partner throughout the month. Visit fusw.org, clickDonate, and select Share the Plate.

FUSW Book Group

Love to read? Interested in exploring books by Black authors and discussing them together? Join the FUSW book group! We're reading The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. NPR describes it as "a multi-generational family saga that tackles prickly issues of racial identity and bigotry and conveys the corrosive effects of secrets and dissembling. It's also a great read that will transport you out of your current circumstances, whatever they are." The group meets on Zoom later in March to discuss. To learn more, contact Denise Woodin (dcw2@optonline.net).
UU Young Adult Outreach

YARN, the UU Young Adult Revival Network, is a project to rebuild the continental UU young adult community. They invite congregations to learn more in this video, read about the many YARN offerings, then help your UU young adults, friends, and future folx find our network. Thanks for supporting the growing movement to reunite all our UU young adult communities!
Interfaith Event

Join the Masajid Collaborative of Westchester (MCW) online to celebrate the advent of the fasting month of Ramadan, with keynote speaker Imam Khalid Latif. Registration required; Zoom link will be sent before the event. In the spirit of Ramadan, you are invited to donate to the Upper Westchester Muslim Society food pantry.
