Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida Actively Seeking Shopping Volunteers

Are you available to help volunteer grocery shop for our community’s Coves residents at River Garden? The Federation is proud and thankful that we have had volunteers coordinated for the past several months!

There are SEVERAL August spaces we still need volunteers to help shop. Please sign up today. Community Service hours are available to responsible and dependable teens 16 and older.

This is one of those ‘it takes a village’ projects and we’re grateful that this is our village.

JFCS Max Block Food Pantry
JFCS is committed to sustaining the critical services that it provides to the community in a safe and responsible manner. The Max Block Food Pantry will provide pre-bagged food to those clients experiencing food insecurity.

Fanny Landwirth Clothes Closet
The racks at the Fanny Landwirth Clothes Closet are almost empty and JFCS needs your help to fill them!

We are in need of new and clean, gently used children’s clothing for both boys and girls, sizes 5-14 (children's). JFCS has seen an increase in children taken into our care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, most of them come to us with nothing but the clothes on their back.

With the school year ending, now is a great time to clean out your closets and make an in-kind donation for children in need! Summer wish list items include shirts, shorts, lightweight pants, new socks, and new undergarments.

We CANNOT accept shoes, bathing suits, or used socks and undergarments. Also, we DO NOT need any jackets or sweaters at this time.

To make contributions, please email Donna O'Steen by clicking HERE .
JFCS is Here for Students
School will be starting on August 10th, and although there’s a possibility of it looking different this year, our JFCS school-age kids still need help with school supplies.

Please consider helping JFCS children in need of a backpack filled with supplies for school. A few school supplies could make the difference in the success or failure of a school-aged child. We ask you to be that difference.

Backpacks or collected school supplies are due between August 3rd and 7th (after tax-free weekend), from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They can be delivered to the 8540 Baycenter Road location on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

For more information, contact Donna O’Steen at (904) 394-5714 or by email .
