#BeTheKindKid T-Shirts

The theme at Ingomar for this school year is Where Kindness Flows. As we continue to teach kindness in our classrooms, many parents ask about ordering #BeTheKindKid T-shirts. Orders will be taken through Friday, September 20.
Summer Reading Celebration

The #IESSummerShelfies Summer Reading program was a big success and now it’s time to celebrate!  View the list of students who will be invited to participate in our Ice Cream Sundae Bar Party to celebrate their summer reading success! Errors or omissions may be emailed to Mrs. Smokovich. Posting to Instagram was a wonderful way for us to stay connected over the summer but not the goal of the Summer Reading program. If your child enjoyed reading over the summer they deserve to be part of the celebration! Rain or shine, our parties are planned for Monday, September 23 from 2:30-3:15 p.m. (Grades 1 & 2), Tuesday, September 24 from 1:45-2:30 p.m. (Grade 3) and 2:30-3:15 p.m. (Grades 4 & 5). We are so proud of our students!
Birthday Book Club

This month, the Birthday Book Club is celebrating July, August, and September birthdays! If you would like to participate you can shop directly through the Library’s Amazon Wish List for more book choices and various price options. Best yet, by doing so, you will earn cash back for IES by using your Amazon Smile account! Thank you so much for supporting our school library and encouraging a love of reading in all of our students.  Please contact Mrs. Smokovich at with any questions/comments.
Book Taco Reading Incentive Program

Through the generosity of the PTO, a one-year subscription to Book Taco has been purchased for students in grades 1-5. Over the next two weeks, this reading incentive program will be rolled out to students during their library class. Be on the lookout for more information. For a sneak peek, visit Book Taco's website. Students gave it rave reviews after piloting the program last Spring and we can't wait to begin again!
