MINISTER'S MESSAGE
Beloveds,

I don’t know why I was surprised to see our March theme is visioning. It’s been put in front of me strongly by Spirit in the last month. The Cosmic 2x4 has been swinging closer and closer to my head and I can feel the wind as it goes by now. Visioning, for those who don’t know, is entirely different from visualization or from brainstorming. As I once heard Sally Kasner say, if you end up with a doable project at the end of a visioning session, you have a goal, not a vision.

Visioning is a form of active meditation. It’s what our leadership did when they caught the vision of a world that works for everyone. The Judeo-Christian scriptures say that without a vision, the people perish (Proverbs, 29:18). What that means is that without that connection to Spirit and without that shared glimpse of the world as it could be, we all go dry. We start looking out for Number One and forget that we ARE One.

I’m excited to get into visioning. I never learned it the way it was originally taught. It’s even more yummy than I ever understood, and I’ve always thought it was super yummy. To that end, I am offering the opportunity to join a visioning group. I’m starting a group of no more than twelve meeting for about an hour and a half once or twice a month, on Zoom and starting in April. Please contact me directly and let me know whether you prefer day or evening, weekday or weekend. Let’s begin living in the world that works for everyone.

Board Report
Greetings to all as we look forward to Spring, a time of renewal and new possibilities. After the last year of challenge, we can anticipate new beginnings. The trees and flowers will blossom, as will our hopes and resolutions. This time is filled with joy and gladness, as our connection to the precepts of Science of Mind and to each other is re-invested with meaning.

Ernest Holmes says that “one who will comply with [the Science of Mind] teachings… shall be able to bring greater possibilities and happier conditions into his experience...as his understanding unfolds, his possibilities of attainment will increase”.

We are all on a journey of discovery, always striving to be open to the possibilities that Life has to offer us. Let us move into ever greater connection with Spirit and with the joy and gladness that are available to us always.

As the year unfolds, we can look forward to a time when we will once again be together on the physical plane. Until then, we are able to be together in spirit through the wonderful technology available to us. I know I am renewed and refreshed after every Sunday service, and I wish the same for each and every one of you.

Sincerely,
Kyra Molitor (Board Vice-President)
Spring Dreaming
Dr. Jon Haass, RScP
This month is one of my favorites here in northern Arizona. The length of the day is moving to overtake the night creating its warmer weather with the building of clouds from the scant moisture available. Although too early to start planting, the ground is ready to be prepared and a few brave flowering bulbs start to appear. In a similar way, the good of life is expanding with the retreat of the “hibernating” winter months.

The theme this month is Open to Possibilities. I like to stay open to the new which comes daily. Something I read that inspires me. “The smile unasked from a friend when enjoying conversation.” If I remain open, even little things can be a catalyst to a new possible thought or action. Recently the story of how the mind engages in its night time dreams led me to go back to a practice of jotting down the feelings associated with my night time journeys. So often there is some seed of intuition trying to be birthed in some semi-mystical form. Most of the time, filled with strangers and exotic locations, my dreams seem to be inviting me to consider other lands and cultures. In some cases they don’t seem to be on our planet! Yet the feeling I notice most is a kind of wonder and awe that these amazing things are occurring. How did I get into this building? Where does that door lead? What language is being spoken, and how do I seem to understand it!

March offers so much like these dreamscapes. I can hardly recall how cool it was in the mornings in January with the ice and snow filling in the birdbath. The sun is rising earlier each morning and the evenings pleasant, even when a storm threatens. I am grateful for the promise and possibilities of the spring ahead. Like the unexpected present found on the doorstep, I look forward to the days of March before me. Grateful for the friends and family I have and certain to meet new soon. What are you grateful for in this month of new and opening possibilities?

GET SUPPORT FROM THE HEART CONNECTION
CHANGE IS CERTAIN

The HC has received a sweet note from Sharon Tice that she will no longer be able to serve as a HC member. We are grateful for her time, energy and productivity. We also recognize her growing Practitioner classes and responsibilities. Thanks, appreciation and love to you, Sharon.

This is a brief review of what the Heart Connection does within the spiritual arena of CSLP. We connect with the members so that each and all are aware of current activities. We have picnics, send cards, make phone calls and connect in our favorite ways.

All members are decision makers. At the top of our structure, we have three co-leaders, “Cookie Masters,” who gather information and make plans. From that point, seven members, right now, fill out the “Cookie” group. With special requests from membership individuals, those are shared with our additional “Sprinkles.”

Hopefully you realize that we have fun, too.

Now, we can share the special news alert:
Pam VanDriel will be a new Cookie Master and have a team of 8 to 10 members. We are very grateful for her special spiritual expertise.

These are our Cookies: Gena Bonnacci, Susan Congdon, Nina Rochette, Margaret Norton, Sudra Tolbert, Patricia Weiberg, and DyAnn Brooks.

Our Cookie masters, with their phone numbers are:
Jeri Arenson, (928) 925-0360
Pam VanDriel, (928) 830-7487
Beth Mosier, (928) 445-7135

We sincerely thank you for your participation,
Beth Mosier

“When we learn to trust the Universe, we shall be happy, prosperous, and well.” (p. 33)

“Spirit is Changeless Reality. That which we call personality is the instrument through which Spirit operates, but Spirit can operate for the individual only by operating through him.” (p. 184)

VISITATION MINISTRY
The month of January, 2021 continued to present challenges to the Visitation team. During the month, due to social distancing, closing of Retirement homes, and hospitals to visitors, the team relied on telephone calls to make visits. During the month of January 2021, nine (9) team members reported visiting 56 separate individuals, 99 actual telephone visits were reported. One (1) team member reported making a food drop, and a picnic lunch to one (1) individual. During the month the team members attempted to contact everyone on the Center's Membership List. The team will continue checking in with the members monthly or at least until we are able to re-open the center. In addition, one team member reported participating in one (1) Virtual Prayer Circles for an individual undergoing a medical procedures.
Would you like a visit, telephone visit, telephone call, Prayer Circle or Virtual Prayer Circle by the Visitation Team for yourself or another? A Virtual Prayer Circle is performed when it is impractical to be at the hospital. A Virtual Prayer Circle is where each member goes into prayer at a designated time, wherever they are, for an individual undergoing a medical procedure. If this is for you, please contact the Pastoral Care Coordinator, David Sharer RScP at (928) 771 2791. The team loves to serve by making visits and praying with you.

Love & Light,
David Sharer, RScP

From The Science of Mind

“The pent-up energy of life, and the possibility of further human evolution, work through man’s imagination and will. The time is now; the place is where we are; and it is done unto us as we believe.” (p. 151)

“There is no limitation, poverty, want or lack. I stand in the midst of eternal opportunity, which is forever presenting me with evidence of its full expression.” (p. 291)
