Getting Going!

Greetings in the name of our loving God!

I pray that this note finds you doing well and getting into the rhythm of fall.

We had great Sunday school classes this past Sunday and our newly framed youth group gatherings were reportedly great fun!  Our choir also returned Sunday and sounded great. Some of our other offerings like Lisa Wright's book study are going well and other programs are about to start like our Betweeners and 10 Great Dates this Saturday and SREN in a few weeks.  There is more on the horizon!

Our stewardship chair, Bob King, has been working with the leaders of the ministries of our church to ensure that everything we do together is done well.  We want you to have wonderful opportunities to plug into the life of Holy Spirit.  Along those lines, you will be hearing about all the Time and Talent ministry opportunities for you in the near future.
I'm also excited to share that this Sunday we will be trying a new format for our announcements insert and we will have a new bulletin the following week.  There will certainly be tweaks as we go forward, but I encourage you to come Sunday to see our fresh new look.

These are snapshots, and the energy of starting programs is in some way to be expected.  It is that time of the year after all.  But, I feel that the joy of God is tangible in what is happening in our community and I am grateful to get to serve with you all (and as a teaser, I hope to get to talk with you about everything going on over coffee in October...)!

In all that we do this year, I will be praying for you and seeking to walk with you in the presence of our loving God.

See you in church,
