Our collective hearts break at the systemic injustices perpetrated against the Black community. Founded by Black families during World War II, Carver Center has fought fear and hate for 77 years.
Carver Center will not tolerate racism, inequality, or injustice. We foster service, education, and empowerment because we believe that every person deserves a bright future.
We promise to fight fear by educating ourselves on the history of racism and working towards lasting change to improve the lives of Port Chester residents. We pledge to continue our efforts to listen and respond to the concerns of our Black clients, staff members, and community members.
