The sold-out Alumni Association Golf Classic was held at Tapagwingo Golf Club on August 24 and raised more than $16,000 for student scholarships. Vianney offers students both merit and need-based scholarships in addition to its multiple-son assistance and work-study program.
College Information Night
Parents, particularly those of seniors, are invited to College Information Night on Wednesday, September 4, at 6 pm in Griffins' Cafe. Guest speaker and Vianney graduate Tim Eggleston of the University of Missouri-Columbia will share how parents can navigate the college planning process to select the right school for their son.
Parents' Club Meeting
Parents are invited to the first Parents' Club meeting of the school year on Thursday, September 5, at 7 pm in Griffins' Cafe. The topic will be the new student information software called Blackbaud. You can view our Blackbaud Reference Guide online for immediate assistance. Parents who attend are entered into a raffle for free textbooks.
Fall Honors Convocation
The Fall Honors Convocation on Friday, September 6, from 9-10:15 am recognizes our students for the academic and other honors they earned during the 2018-2019 school year.  It will be a dress-up day for all students . Parents will be notified if their son is being specifically recognized at the convocation though all parents are welcome to attend.
Class of 2020 | Parent Party
There are a few spots remaining for the Class of 2020 Parent Party (an item from the 2019 Night of the Griffin auction) if you would like to attend for $25 per person. It's Friday, September 6, with tailgating before the football game on the upper Vianney parking lot. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, and tickets to the game are included! Audition Notice
Griffin Theatre invites students to audition for Peter and the Starcatcher on Tuesday and Thursday, September 10 and 12, at 6:30 pm. The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. Performance dates are November 14-17, 2019. Vianney Moms' Club
All Vianney moms are invited to attend the first event of the newly formed “Vianney Moms' Club.” This group was created to support one another, our sons, and their school, while having some fun together. College Fair
The Vianney Guidance Department is hosting its 2019 College Fair on Tuesday, September 17, from 6-7:30 pm at our Field House. You will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from approximately 140 colleges and universities across the country. College Financial Aid
Federal law requires men to register for Selective Service (this is NOT a military draft registration) when they turn 18 in order to qualify for federal financial aid for college. Seniors can register, easily and painlessly, with Dennis Matreci in the Leadership Center as early as 30 days before their 18th birthday. While they are there, they can also register to vote!
Picture Retake Day
School pictures can be retaken if needed on Tuesday, October 1. Please download and complete the Picture Day Form to purchase a photo package.
Griffins' Cafe
Vianney launched MySchoolBucks on Monday with students now using their ID cards to pay for their purchases. You can deposit up to $150 at a time during the school year to an online student account to securely pay for meals and track your purchases in Griffins' Cafe. There is a $2.49 program fee per deposit. Cash will continue to be accepted in Griffins' Cafe.
Hiring Cafeteria Porter
Vianney is seeking a dishwasher for Griffins' Cafe. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm when school is in session. Visit ApplicantStack for additional information and to apply online.
Lacrosse Meeting
Students interested in playing lacrosse are invited to an informational meeting with their parents on September 3 from 7-7:30 pm in Griffins' Cafe. School-Year Theme | Fiat
Fr. Brian Fallon introduces our school-year theme of Fiat and explains how God calls each of us to say "yes." The Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis serves as our school chaplain.
