Marketing Major
Account Executive | Coca-Cola Company

What do you do in your role?
I am an Account Executive for The Coca-Cola Company supporting Sprouts Farmers Market, a national supermarket chain. In my role, I manage the performance of our direct store delivery beverage brands which include brands such as Smartwater, Vitaminwater, Gold Peak Tea, and Coca-Cola's new sparkling water brand- AHA! I collaborate with our independent bottling partners, Coca-Cola cross functional counterparts, and the Sprouts leadership team to build relationships and bring our business objectives and goals to life in the marketplace. My position includes the responsibility to drive growth for the Coca-Cola Company and our brands on a large scale by activating a variety of resources, tools, and industry knowledge. Being a Coca-Cola liaison supporting a national customer is an exciting experience and I would compare it to being an essential piece of a puzzle. Through strategic business planning sessions, I provide recommendations and implement solutions that align to and meet the needs of our brands and my customer, Sprouts.

How has your job changed since COVID-19?
My job has certainly changed quite a bit as a result of Covid-19. Before Covid I was traveling frequently for meetings and events and now everything is being conducted virtually, which has its pros and cons. A big part of my role is interacting with others live and in person so the new 100% virtual working environment has been an interesting learning experience and transition for me. Although given this new full time virtual environment, my relationships with our bottling partners has strengthened as a result of 1- recognizing new operational challenges, and 2- helping them navigate through never before seen obstacles while on the front lines delivering product to stores. Another example of how my job has changed since Covid is around consumer trends and how this has had a major impact to some of our key priorities and business plans. With eCommerce trends soaring in the marketplace my job is now more focused on eCommerce optimization and connecting with consumers in a digital shopping space.

What piece of advice do you have for students?
You are your own biggest advocate, always listen to your intuition, and never let any setback determine your future or your dreams.
