WORSHIP
OUTDOOR SANCTUARY INSTALLATION

Our outdoor greenspace on the north end of the church property is getting a makeover! Thanks to memorial gifts, we are able to install an outdoor worship sanctuary this summer, which will give us plenty of space for social distancing while worshiping outdoors!

COMMUNION SUNDAY | AUGUST 2 ND AT 9:30 AM

Join us for Worship & Communion – Outdoors or Online – This Sunday at 9:30 AM!

Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and join us for socially-distanced in-person worship. (Masks encouraged.) OR join us for livestreamed online worship.

Wherever you plan to worship, we’re inviting everyone to bring your own communion elements to celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion this Sunday, August 2 nd ! You’ll want to bring or have on hand some type of fruit juice or water, and some type of bread or crackers – enough for everyone in your household.

Such large crowds gathered around Jesus that he climbed into a boat and sat down. The crowd stood on the shore waiting for His teaching. And so Jesus began to teach in parables. – Matthew 13:1-3
SUMMER STORIES
from the gospel of Matthew
A good story has a way of touching our hearts. From childhood on, we love to hear them! Jesus had a way of telling stories that were able to touch hearts, teach minds and transform lives. And the gospel writings of Matthew tell us stories about Jesus and his message of the coming Kingdom of God.

Join us for this summer worship series | July 19 - August 30
WEEKLY DEVOTIONS
Each week we send out a devotional resource email to help you navigate your journey of faith! Find scripture readings, reflection questions, and a list of prayer concerns.

CHILDREN & YOUTH
CHILDREN'S CONNECTIONS
This summer, we're sharing a weekly Children's Storytime video from families in our church. We encourage you to share these with the children & grandchildren in your life! Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it."

This week's story is The Marvelous Mustard Seed by Amy-Jill Levine, Sandy Eisenberg Sasso, and Margaux Meganck read by Elisabet Menke, Clara and Elinor. If your family would like to share a story, please contact Lauren Wilken: lauren.wilken@polkcityumc.org

You can find more resources for children's ministry, including summer worship connection resources on our new Children's Ministry page! We're also on Facebook !
