On Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Southern California Edison Aircraft Operations and PAR Electric will conduct a critical pole replacement in the area around 1727 Carrie Hills Lane. The pole is located in difficult terrain and requires a helicopter to lift and replace.
Through air-imagery inspections conducted a few weeks ago, SCE discovered the pole in significantly deteriorated condition. In its current condition, the pole poses a high public safety risk and fire threat.
The helicopter will transport the new pole from the area around 1640 Dorothea Road to its destination. Dorothea Road, around the area of 1640 Dorothea Road, and Carrie Hills Lane (private) will be closed while the helicopter is in the area. The work may last until 6:00 p.m., but the helicopter will only be in the area between 2 to 4 hours.
