Blood donations impact areas affected by Hurricane Dorian
The American Red Cross recently sent approximately 350 blood products to the areas impacted by Hurricane Dorian because blood drives scheduled in those locations had to be cancelled. K-State Polytechnic hosted a blood drive on Aug. 28 and 29, and it's very possible some of those donations were shipped to the hurricane-affected areas. The blood donations are vital to ensuring patients have access to lifesaving blood at nearby hospitals.
