Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing Project Update
|
|
The
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing Project
evaluated the engineering feasibility of replacing the existing at-grade crossings of the Caltrain tracks by building grade separations of the roadways from the tracks at Ravenswood Avenue, Oak Grove Avenue, Glenwood Avenue and Encinal Avenue, with priority on Ravenswood Avenue.
Next week's City Council meeting includes an item for the Council to hear an update on the Ravenswood Avenue railroad crossing study project and consider approving an additional study to evaluate a fully-elevated rail option over downtown.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
|
|
The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program helps residents properly dispose and/or recycle their residential hazardous waste.
Household hazardous waste (HHW) is waste from your home that is toxic, corrosive, flammable or reactive based on its chemical properties. Products such as paint thinner, toilet bowl cleaner, and rat bait exhibit these hazardous characteristics. It is illegal to dispose of such dangerous wastes in the regular trash or dump them down the drain. We urge residents and business owners to use the County of San Mateo's HHW Program for proper disposal.

What about You? Taking Care of Yourself While Taking Care of Others.
As a caregiver, there is a delicate balance between taking care of yourself and taking care of others. It’s so easy for us to put our lives on hold and neglect our own needs. Studies show that caregivers often neglect themselves when taking care of a loved one and suffer in silence or feel guilty when they can’t meet the demands and responsibilities of caregiving. Learn ways to take better care of yourself while juggling the demands and responsibilities of being a caregiver.
Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
