Dear Friends,

Making our voices heard at the ballot box is one of the hallmarks of our democracy. The right to vote was hard earned over the course of our history by people who fought to make sure that this sacred right was available to everyone. Now is the time to exercise that right by casting your ballot.

Early in-person voting starts tomorrow. I urge you to make a plan to vote today. Registered voters have three options for voting:

Option 1: Vote By Mail
You may vote early by mail if you are registered to vote and meet one of the following criteria:
  • Away from the county of residence on Election Day and during the early voting period;
  • Sick or disabled;
  • 65 years of age or older on Election Day;
  • Confined in jail, but eligible to vote.

Apply for a Mail Ballot before October 23rd. Then track your mail ballot.

Option 2: Vote in Person, Early

October 13 through October 30

Option 3: Vote in Person, on Election Day

November 3rd, 7am-7pm

 Vote at any of the 800-plus locations. Find a convenient location at HarrisVotes.com

Harris County officials have been hard at work ensuring that you have safe options for voting. We are ready for you to come out to the polls, and we expect to see record turnout. Across the country, 9 million Americans have already voted, more than 50 times the number who had voted by this time in 2016.

Don't forget that NRG Arena is the only mail-ballot drop-off location in Harris County. You can drop your ballot off any time during early voting hours. I dropped off my mail-in ballot last week.
