Your input is valued!  surveys
Several groups and organizations, including HCDDS, are looking for feedback and input on a variety of issues. Find links to the surveys below.

  • Hamilton County DD Services: This survey will help us understand how different audiences receive information about HCDDS, determine which communication outlets are most effective, and highlight areas where we can improve. Please take a few minutes to fill out this six-question survey and share your thoughts on our communications. Your feedback is appreciated! Click here to take the survey. If you are interested, we also have a survey specific to our email newsletters. Click here for that survey.

  • The Ohio DD Council is asking for feedback on issues and problems that affect people with developmental disabilities. Survey results will guide the next five-year plan (2022 - 2027) that will allow DD Council to develop grants and projects. It's open to people with disabilities, family members and guardians, DD professionals and stakeholders.   Click here to take the survey.

  • The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities would like families of people with disabilities to take a short survey about what family resources they use and how they were involved with DODD during the past year. The results will inform DODD about how to best support families in 2020.  Click here to take the survey

  • The Cincinnati Art Museum would like to hear from you regarding your experiences at their museum with accessibility. Click here to take the survey. If you require accommodations to make this survey available to you, or would like the survey administered in person, please contact [email protected].

Services Spotlight

Finding a safe place to live is a key component of a good life. Hamilton County DD Services collaborates with families, SSAs, providers, landlords and property owners to help people with developmental disabilities discover the best housing option for them.

" We try to match a person's needs with what's available in the community," said Tennille Raines, HCDDS Housing Coordinator. "We also help bridge the gap between facility-based housing and community living."

2020 U.S. Census & Greater Cincy Countscensus
The next U.S. Census begins on March 23, 2020.  For the first time, people will be able to fill out the census online. They will also be able to fill out the Census over the phone or in paper form and submit it via mail.

Greater Cincinnati's Complete Count Committee is a team of community organizations and regional stakeholders appointed by Mayor John Cranley and Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus to develop an outreach and awareness campaign for the 2020 Census. The committee's primary focus is to use all available resources to ensure that every Greater Cincinnati resident is counted in the 2020 Census. Learn more about Greater Cincy Counts and the 2020 Census on this website.

The weather has been cold so far this year, and more rainy than snowy, but we want to remind you about weather closings. If HCDDS is closed due to weather, notices will be posted on our website and on the agency social media accounts -  FacebookTwitter and  Instagram

If only Bobbie B. Fairfax and Margaret B. Rost schools are closed, notices will be posted on the agency website, as well as the school Facebook pages. HCDDS staff will receive a phone call with instructions on reporting to work.
