A Homeless Woman’s Commitment
Produces her Key to Independence!

We are giving thanks today for the sweet success story of Ms. Elizabeth Rolle-- pictured above with Bridge Healthcare Navigator, Kathleen Summerour and Bridge Director Michael Forrester.
Elizabeth entered the Bridge shelter a few months ago after fleeing from her woods encampment during a domestic situation with her boyfriend.
With the help of the Bridge staff, volunteers, and programs, a couple of weeks ago, Elizabeth finally secured her SSI benefits. On Monday, November 15th, 2021, she received her keys to her new apartment.
“This life-changing story of success was beautiful to watch,” says Bridge Director Michael Forrester. “Because she was committed to the process and walked it out, she now has a true sense of accomplishment and independence. This is an example of precisely why we are here and the outcome we strive for, for each client that walks through our doors.”

We have made it easy for you to donate on Giving Tuesday, which is coming up quickly on Tuesday, November 30th. You can use your phone with the QR Code below or click on the Donate Now button provided at the bottom of this message.

Recent data shows that people are highly motivated to give in 2021 and are giving more in response to needs in their community and for causes they care about. 82% of #GivingTuesday donors are aged 18-34, and they learn about our organization from their friends and family. $20 is the most frequently given amount on #GT.

Simply sharing this email with your friends and family who might be willing to give $20 to benefit the homeless and hungry in our local community would be a great way to be an ambassador for the Neighborhood Center. Helping us to bring in new donors and increase participation on #GivingTuesday.
Everything helps. From donations of goods to our thrift store and food pantry to financial support, it all makes a difference in the life of our clients and your community.

Thank you for joining us in our fight to end homelessness.
If you have plans to organize a drive or questions about a donation, don't hesitate to contact Debra West, Charitable Giving Coordinator, at 386-734-8120 EXT 209 or debra.west@nhcwv.org.
