E
arlier this week, one of our members expressed what many of you may be feeling: "can't wait for the Y to reopen". We feel the same way and have been working hard to prepare for that day. Once we get the green light from New York State, we'll launch Phase 1 of our reopening.
Phase 1 will include pre-opening building preparation, including deep cleaning and new signage and floor markings; and staff training on new procedures. We haven't received an opening date yet, but - fingers crossed-it could be as early as July 7.
Our phased approach will be consistent with state and county guidelines and will focus on health and safety for our members, staff and program participants. We will have limited hours, capacity, and programming. Reservations will be required for lap swimming and the Fitness Center, and we'll be implementing new protocols around health screening, mask wearing and social distancing. We're putting the final touches on our reopening plan and look forward to sharing it with you soon.
In the meantime, please enjoy some of the programs listed below.
