In order to continue to exceed client expectations, the Landform Planning and Urban Design Studio will be attending the American Planning Association – Minnesota Chapter conference in Breezy Point, MN on September 25-27, 2019. The conference is held every year and features speakers and panels from across the state. Topics at the conference include all variety of current planning and development issues including land use, transportation, housing, development and community engagement.

Walking and Biking for All Ages and Abilities in a First Ring Suburb: The Edina Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan
with Antonio Rosell, P.E. from Community Design Group. Mark and Antonio will share with attendants the master plan, the keys to the success of the plan and lessons learned during the process.
Kevin Shay will be moderating a panel titled
Here Comes the Neighborhood: Planning for Change in Rural Communities
which Kendra Lindahl, AICP will participate in along with Kim Lindquist, AICP, EDFP from the City of Rosemount and Paul Tabone from Lennar. The panel will discuss challenges that communities on the suburban edge face as the city spreads out from the core, issues that are important from a developer’s perspective and how municipalities can address the new needs of their changing towns.
