Celestial wonders provide, among other rewards, context for the times in which we live. When contemplating the heavens above, it’s nearly impossible to not realize how diminutive we are in the
much larger order of things.
This time lapse video of the comet NEOWISE as viewed over Lake Sunapee last week puts it all in perspective beautifully.

At least 28 states report suspicious packages of seeds - and other oddities - arriving from China
Officials in at least 28 states are urging residents to report any unsolicited packages of seeds that appear to have been sent from China. Inside the packages, people have found packets of seeds, sometimes accompanied by jewelry or a different inexpensive item.
The Agriculture Department is working with other federal and state agencies to investigate. But, in the meantime, they warn recipients to be wary. "If you receive seeds from China, DO NOT PLANT THEM. And don’t throw them in the trash," a Mississippi official said.

It was great to see the big green doors of The Livery open for 10 days welcoming all to the Center for The Arts Lake Sunapee to view the 130 works of art by 50 artists from New Hampshire and neighboring states at the 3rd annual juried show, “Naturally New England”. COVID 19 guidelines were observed and provided a safe venue to enjoy the art and a special Bonsai exhibit. Beautifully staged in the historic Livery, the exhibit was “hugely successful” by all metrics. Proceeds from the sales also benefited the partnering organizer, the Lake Sunapee Visiting Nurse Association.

“Thank you, librarians all!” Books and library services are essential, too, especially in these uncertain times. Libraries everywhere were faced with numerous obstacles that disrupted traditional services, but these heroes rose to the challenge and though the buildings are either closed or have limited hours, they continue to provide their communities with books by delivery to their homes or curbside pick-ups, as well as presenting book group discussions, classes and special programs virtually. Check their websites for updated programs and protocols.
