CRC News | June 18, 2020
Dear CRC Supporter,

It is my honor to share Community Resource Center's 2019 Annual Report with you. In our milestone 40th year, Community Resource Center provided thousands of individuals access to healthy food, stable housing and safe homes:

  • 1,538 calls answered on our 24-hour domestic violence hotline
  • 273 households who were homeless found help and housing
  • 14,225 visits made to our Food & Nutrition Center
  • 1,462 counseling sessions provided compassionate care
  • 2,280 case management sessions provided financial, housing and career help

This critical work is possible because of your support.

I hope you will take a moment to see the impact you've made possible and read a few stories that represent the thousands of individuals who were helped by CRC.

Thank you for how you care and what you give to help others.

Kind regards,
John Van Cleef
CEO

Partnering to end domestic violence

Congratulations to long-time staff member, Rebecca Nussbaum, who was recently re-elected as a Regional Representative (South Region) to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence Board of Directors. Regional Representatives are elected by members in their region; re-election is a wonderful testimonial to Rebecca’s commitment and dedication to helping domestic violence victims with the highest quality services and programs.

Community Resource Center is a proud member of  The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence , the state’s recognized domestic violence coalition that works to align prevention and intervention strategies to advance social change.

Get help buying food while schools are closed

Families with students who were receiving free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch at school can receive up to $365 per child to spend on groceries this summer. This federal nutrition benefit is called Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) and is available for families in addition to continued grab-and-go meal services at many school sites in San Diego County.
