School portrait time is just around the corner! 

Susan Parmar Photography will be here during the week of October 5th to take individual student pictures. Because of safety protocols, she will not be doing sibling pictures in school this year, but will offer an optional weekend event for siblings photos. At-home learners will be invited on this day as well. More details to follow. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
Solar Array Installation

You may have noticed the workers on the roof this week. We are completing Phase Two of our solar panel installation. Phase One was completed in 2018 on the Batten Building. These projects are funded through Power Purchase Agreements and Peabody does not have any costs associated with the project. We needed to remove the trees in the front of the building to gain exposure and to mitigate some water issues caused by the tree roots. We will be adding some native plantings and building a rain garden up front as soon as we can! Peabody is committed to green initiatives!

  • All sweatshirts are grey hoodies featuring our Peabody Panther logo and are $25 each.
  • After you submit the order form, please drop off a check to Peabody School and write "HOODIES" on the check. There will be a separate envelope in the front office to collect these funds.  
  • Payment is due to the Front Office BY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30.  
  • NOTE: Items will not be ordered if payment is not received by deadline - Sweatshirts should arrive mid-October.

  • The Alliance Française of Charlottesville is offering a FUN, INTERACTIVE, and ENGAGING online French club for private school students, grades 2-4 this fall! Click for more information!

  • Virginia also launched a new application called COVIDWISE. It is the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) COVID-19 exposure notification app to facilitate contact tracing in response to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

  • COVID-19 Weekly Metrics: The seven day moving average(combined and scaled for Charlottesville City/Albemarle County) is 21.1 cases/100K and a PCR positivity of 4.9%.
