Unity in a Nutshell #2:
"God Blessed You"
Sunday, January 26, 2020
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
Building on our first Unity principle that God is everywhere present, we will now take a closer look at principle two: Humans have a spark of divinity within them. Our very essence is of God and therefore we are also inherently good. For some of us, this idea can be a real theological challenge! Especially since we don't always behave in decent and morally respectable ways. Join Rev. Anne as she continues her Sunday Message Series, "Unity in a Nutshell 2020," and we explore how as a creation of God... we are blessed!
Please join us for a time of fellowship and light refreshments immediately after the service in the Sanctuary.

"Reachable and Teachable"
Sunday, February 2, 2020
11am, Rev. Lari Goold, Guest Speaker
We were given the wisdom and intelligence to learn. The question is, how reachable are we or how willing are we to learn new ideas?
Rev. Lari retired as Senior Minister at the Celebration of Life Center for Spiritual Living in Irving in 2017. She has been our guest speaker several times since then and continues to be a guest speaker at other New Thought churches in the region.
A student and teacher of metaphysics for over 45 years, Rev. Lari is passionate about the truth teachings of all the mystics and philosophers and continues to look for ways and opportunities to share them. She is grateful for a deepening friendship with Rev. Anne here at Unity of Arlington, and feels a heart connection with this community.

Unity in a Nutshell #3:
"Well, I Declare"
Sunday, February 9, 2020
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
In Scripture, it is written... "You shall decree a thing, and it will be established for you." This seems so simple, but it's not always easy! In our third Unity principle, the Law of Mind Action teaches us that we create our experiences by the activity of our thinking. Join Rev. Anne for part three of her Sunday Message Series, "Unity in a Nutshell 2020," and find out how you can practice putting this powerful spiritual principle to work in your life.

6th Annual Pet Supply Collection
Sundays, January 26, and February 2, 2020
Daily Paws is excited to join with Nancy May and Steve Morris for the 6th annual Party for Pets (Pet Supply Collection). We are blessed by the pets in our lives and want to be a blessing to our pets and all animals. Five years ago Nancy May requested her SpiritGroup donate to the Arlington Animal Shelter for her birthday. It has since turned into an annual charity event.
Let's show everyone at Arlington Animal Services what big hearts we have and how much we love animals. Let's show them our support as they work to find homes for stray dogs and cats (so they don't all end up at Rev. Anne's home!) They do wonderful work and can use our help. We will be collecting items for the next three Sundays. Bring your donation to the church and put it in the designated bins in the lobby. The donated items will be delivered to Arlington Animal Services.
Here is the list of requested items:
Newspapers
Bleach
Distilled white vinegar
Dawn dish soap
Windex
Paper towels
Canned kitten food (paté only)
Canned puppy food (paté only)-Authority brand
Washable cat and dog toys (Kong toys only. No chew toys.)
Old towels, blankets, pet beds, food bowls, etc., are also needed.
You can also make a monetary donation. Make checks payable to Arlington Animal Services. Put in an envelope and give to Dwain or Nancy May.
For more information on the Pet Supply Collection contact Nancy May.
For more information on how to be involved with Daily Paws Animal Ministry connect with Rev. Anne.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life,
God the Good.
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
|
CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in
all we do.
Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to
see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole
human family.
Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity,
we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.
Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.
Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.
Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.
Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
