Joe Gilpin of Caroline County recently installed a 45-panel, ground-mounted solar array at his home. In doing so, he joined more than 1,300 REC members who are generating their own electricity through REC’s net metering program. REC also offers a program called Cooperative Sunshare for member-owners who want to support solar power without any up-front costs and equipment on their property.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Our diverse workforce is what makes REC the forward-thinking, innovative utility that leads the way in safety, reliability and member satisfaction.

Impacting Our Communities
Money raised through The Power of Change supports those in need. Simply round up your electric bill,
make a one-time gift or set a monthly amount you’d like to donate.
Don't Forget - Look Up!
Whether raking leaves or putting up decorations, be sure to look up before lifting any ladders or tools. Avoid coming in contact with overhead power lines by looking up when doing outside work.
Powering The Future
The REC Community Scholarship program is for students who are seeking to advance their career goals by attending a college or a career and technical school. The deadline to apply is Jan. 25, 2022.

REC's office lobbies are open by appointment or for walk-up visits from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment please visit myrec.coop/appointments
