AhealthyU is now on Microsoft Teams! Faculty and staff can join the AhealthyU Teams site for a quick and convenient way to:  stay in the know with our upcoming AhealthyU activities, share your own or campus health and wellness resources, build community and connect with other AU faculty and staff, and more!

To join AhealthyU on Microsoft Teams follow these steps: Open Microsoft Teams and click on the Teams tab in the left hand side. Click on Join or create team in the upper right hand corner. Enter the code 8j9imzk in the field Join a team with a code. Click on Join team. Welcome to AhealthyU on Teams! Say hello or leave a comment on the message board for other members to read. Pfizer Booster Shots Available to AU Community Walgreens at 3301 New Mexico Avenue

American University has partnered with Walgreens at 3301 New Mexico Avenue to provide the Pfizer vaccine booster shot to AU community members (faculty, staff, and students) on select dates now through October 24. Appointments are NOT required. WALK-IN SCHEDULE Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. Sunday, October 24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please bring with you: Government issued ID Health insurance card Original COVID vaccination card  Completed Walgreens consent form Questions about COVID-19 vaccine booster shots and eligibility? Please refer to the CDC vaccine booster shot guidance or contact your healthcare provider. Anyone eligible for a booster shot can also receive it at a variety of locations, including pharmacies and health care providers.

Lunchtime Walking Series October 20 at 12:10pm Every Wednesday in October at 12:10pm, join fellow colleagues from around campus to walk AU's Outdoor Trail, a scenic 1.25 mile loop around main campus. All sessions start and end at the Labyrinth, located in front of Kay Spiritual Center. Sessions begin at 12:10pm, rain or shine. Registration is not required. Share your walk on social media! Take a photo or video and use #AUoutdoortrail. Stretch-it-Out Session October 20 at 2:30pm Session 5 of 8 in series It's time to Stretch-it-Out! During a 15-minute stretch break designed by a personal trainer, learn dynamic movements and static stretches designed to do right at your work station. Registration required. Retire Well: What Retiring Minds Want to Know Tuesday, October 19 at 12:00pm

Join Dale Rampell, FSAP, and a panel of AU retirees on how to stay connected to the university after retirement, information on long term care insurance, and more. Registration required.
