I have appreciate the calls Pr. Stevens has had in this synod and his faithful pastoral care in each one. David and I got to know each other better and better over the years. He was always solid in his faith and thinking, and his pastoral care. We were able to have some good heart to heart conversations, about faith and other theological talks over the past few years, including a very deep conversation about life, love, God, and the church. He will be missed dearly.
