March 2020   Helping Neighbors in Need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody Since 1987.
A Message from CAC in Response to COVID-19

Dear Friends of CAC,

In the interest of public safety and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and government recommendations, CAC is implementing an emergency plan to address the coronavirus outbreak. CAC's primary concern is for the health and safety of all CAC clients, staff, volunteers and the community. We are making every effort to protect against the spread of the virus at CAC facilities. As described below, CAC is temporarily suspending services except for limited food distribution and certain services that can be conducted via phone and online.  We appreciate your support of CAC and our neighbors in need during this difficult time and throughout the year. These guidelines apply from March 14 to March 22.

CAC will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will update our emergency plans and communications to you as conditions change.

CAC is Taking These Emergency Measures:
  • Effective Monday, March 16 all CAC facilities will be closed for all services except for food distribution.

  • Effective Monday, March 16, the food pantry mini-market will be closed,  prepacked bags of food will be available for pick up Monday-Friday 9-3p.

How You Can Help

Many have already made generous offers to help others in our community who are struggling during these unprecedented times. Thank you! We strongly encourage you to make financial donations to CAC so we can purchase food gift cards and the most critical items not currently stocked in our pantry. This will reduce the number of human interactions as we do our part to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

If you choose to donate food, our most needed items are listed below. You can drop off to CAC at 8607 Roswell Rd. Sandy Springs, GA 30350 between 9:30 am -1 pm Monday - Friday. Please visit www.ourcac.org for the most up to date information.

Volunteering
