Newsletter for March 15th, 2021
Greetings!
We are excited to start practice in the Daylight Saving time tonight!
This week please be sure to talk to your athletes about good nutrition as we go into the next phase of our program!

Nutrition is a vital part of a young athletes success. All athletes need to consume balanced meals to ensure their bodies are getting the proper vitamins and minerals. If possible, please limit the consumption of foods with high saturated fats and processed sugars during training, especially before practice. Two important minerals that are needed in young athletes are Calcium and Iron. Some good food sources that are rich in calcium. iron and other Nutrients are:
Leafy green vegetables
Whole grains
Fruits
Lean meats
Brown rice
Beans
Bananas
Nuts
Milk/yogurt

We will be going through the certification process for all our athletes in the coming weeks so it is very important that if you are a new athlete to Storm and have not already sent in your birth document, we need it asap, you can click on the sign up link and up load it or bring a copy to practice.

If you have not made your payment please do so this week, as we will be dropping all athletes that have not paid or attended practices. If you are having an issue with payment and would like to set up a payment plan please reply to this email and we can set it up.

Thank you to all the parents that have stepped up and helped at practice! We could not do it without you.

We are still accepting Jelly Beans! We have enough of the Jolly Ranchers for now!!

Safety is of the upmost importance for all our athletes, parents, and coaches.
We ask each parent to monitor their athlete's health and by bringing their athletes to practice they agree that their child is free from all Covid-19 systems, and has not been in contact with anyone that has had these symptoms or have been diagnosed with Covid -19, in the past 10 days . There will be a board up at every practice to remind you of them. We have also added the youth sports guidelines and symptoms below! Please inform us within 24 hours if you, or your child has been exposed to Covid - 19 or have tested positive and do not bring them to practice!

If an athlete exhibits any system they will be sent home. In addition we ask each athlete to follow the protocols below:
Check your Child temperature before practice ( should be below 1.04 degrees)
Wash hands before coming to practice
Wear a mask to practice, and to your practice pod. (these can be removed once we start our work out if wanted)
Keep 6 feet distance apart when not wearing a mask. Parents are also asked to keep their 6 feet distance and wear a mask and avoid grouping together while at practice. You can bring a chair and sit on the front sidelines if you want. Hand sanitizer will be available at each age group station.

Volunteer Sign Ups
We have set up a sign-up genius to make sure we have enough help at each practice . Please click on the link to volunteer for one of the needed parent jobs. We only need a short time for each slot and you do not need to do more than one time a week!!

If you are unable to help at practice you can pick up Jelly Beans and bags, from practice to bag at home!!
