March 2021
Time is "March"ing on! That's for sure!
Hey don't miss my next Tap TV on February 28. It's a re-issue, re-presentation of a Gala Concert performance I produced at Tap City in 2003. (see details below)

Meanwhile, we have much ado in March. Naturally we continue to offer our ongoing virtual Youth & Adult Classes. But, March starts out with a bang with our next installment of our monthly Tap Teacher Workshops on Monday, March1 (see below). This one is hosted by our very own Susan Hebach, co-hosted by pianist Jess Jurkovic and will focus on Jazz Music Fundamentals for Tap Teachers.

Next we have a new program called the Tap Legacy Series. Get ready for ten (10) intimate workshops on the legendary Copasetics that focus on the careers of Buster Brown, Bubba Gaines, Brownie Brown, Cookie Cook and Honi Coles. And look who's teaching them. We have Reggio McLaughlin, Michela Marino Lerman, Hank Smith, Deborah Mitchell & Brenda Bufalino. All were students, mentees and or partners with these tap dance icons and each will be sharing some stories, images, footage, history and a little footwork. (see below) These sessions on Zoom will be monitored by yours truly.

The really BIG news is that we are presenting our long overdue Tap City Youth Concert and we are now planning on doing it on a Circleline Boat! That's on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Stay tuned for all the details but definitely HOLD THE DATE! Lot's of fun, lot's of dancing, lot's of guest artists, live music and finally something LIVE for everyone!

We are also planning on launching registration for Tap City 2021 July 5-10, 2021 & our annual Tap Teacher Training Program July 12-18, 2021. (Both going virtual this summer)

VERY exciting stuff! Can you tell we've been busy?
