Volume 35 | October 6, 2020

Members and Supporters,

It’s Autumn….whatever that means in HTX! It’s hard to believe we are already in October with the end of the year fast approaching. And, if it’s October, that means EARLY VOTE!

The Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce has kicked off our campaign – “Out To Vote Early” and we encourage your organization to participate in the campaign. Check out the details in this issue on how your company can participate.

Speaking of voting, can you guess which Chamber Member will be serving as a polling location on Election Day?!?! Read more in this issue!

In this issue, we’re excited to share some very good news about the 2020 OutSmart Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards. (hint: it involves the Chamber not to mention many of our members)

And last but not least, we have a busy events calendar as we look at finishing out the year including Chamber-hosted events as well as some great collaboration events. Make it a point to join a at least two events before the year is out and connect with other Chamber members and guests.

With Pride,
Tammi Wallace

Chamber Member, BUDDY’S Houston, is officially an Election Day polling location for Harris County. We think this is the first polling location in an LGBTQ-owned bar at least in Texas (and probably the world)!

Thank you to BUDDY’s Houston for stepping up during this important election. We appreciate Harris County and its strong commitment to making sure all communities have access to vote in the upcoming election. Thank you to Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins as well as Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioner Rodney Ellis for your leadership.

Election Day is on Tuesday, November 3. Information about voting including poll locations can be found at HarrisVotes.com.
