Crisis Control Ministry
Dear Friends,
The year 2019 is quickly passing by. Up to now, you have prepared approximately 270 breakfasts, 270 lunches and 270 suppers for your family. However, one day you open your cupboard and the shelves are bare! If only... Here folks, is where Crisis Control Ministry can help those in need. With the items you cheerfully bring each month, Crisis Control can fill those shelves. October has been designated as BOXED DINNER month. This can include Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese, etc-anything made from a box. Help fill those cupboards! You will be blessed.

Youth Happenings
What a summer! Many of our youth spent the summer volunteering and working with the kids at Palooza. Their compassion, patience, and dedication to those children served as an excellent representation of our church community and what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Their hard work has inspired our September theme: "Reflection."
As we reflect on our summer experiences, we will reflect on what it means to be a part of a church family, what it means to live as examples of Christ, and what it looks like to spend time in quiet contemplation with God each day.
Our theme verse for this month is Matt. 19:14 -
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
If you would like to know how you can get involved with the youth group, please email Kaitlin or call her at (828) 713-2570.
Peace,
Kaitlin

PINC
To those interested in renewing our PINC (Partners In Christ) meetings, please respond in an e-Mail.
In your answer, please relate the following answers:
-
Your level of interest
-
Evenings that you
Cannot
meet
-
Types of activities that interest you
Our goal is to meet together and get to know each other in a more personal way. In sharing various activities, I think we accomplish that in a very Christ-like way.
In the past in addition to opening devotionals (when appropriate) we have performed several service projects - Valentine and Easter Baskets for seniors, Preparation of eggs for our Easter egg hunt, and help with fund-raising projects of the church.
In addition we have prepared items for sale to raise funds and had sale of donated items.
We have also participated in fun activities such as movies, bowling, art and wine parties, and dinners out. We also had interesting speakers for our meetings as well as instructors for arts and crafts projects.
Your response to this message is important in deciding the future of PINC.
