Ministry Opportunities
Help us decorate for Advent and Christmas!
After worship on Sunday, November 21st, we need your help! If you can spare some time, we will be decorating the sanctuary and narthex! We'd love all the help we could get - especially with the heavy lifting! Thanks!
Advent Starts next Sunday November 28th!
Make sure to pick up your Advent Devotional in the Narthex!
It's a wonderful hands on devo to help lead us through this season!

Mark your calendars for our Advent Dinner and Activity Nights
December 1st, 8th and 15th starting at 6pm
All ages are welcome to come - and just think - you don't have to cook dinner that night! Look for more information to come
Craft Afternoon!
Join us on Sunday November 28th for an afternoon of crafting and fellowship! We've reserved some space at Appleberry's Attic in downtown Anoka for a group of us to come and try something new!

When: Meet at Appleberry's Attic at 1pm on Nov. 28th
Who: All ages are welcome!
Cost: The cost depends on what project you'd like to do - so many options!
Once you sign up, we will send you a link that has your design options. There you will pick which one you'd like to do and purchase it via their website. We're here to help if you need some assistance as well.

This is a great way to spend the afternoon with family and friends! Don't miss out on this!
Adopt a Family - Hope for Youth
Christmas is coming soon! Imagine being young, unmarried and homeless in Minnesota during winter. YOU have the opportunity to make a difference. HOPE4Youth in Anoka has 5 young moms and their children that need our help.
The tags will be ready for pick up this weekend - so make sure to grab one in the narthex. All items will be due back at church on December 5th.
Want to do more? HOPE4YouthMN.org has ways you can help now and throughout the year.
Gas and Food Cards
As the days get colder, we are noticing a higher need for food and gas cards for our community. If you are interested in donating food or gas cards, please drop them off in the office. Amounts should stay between $10-$20 and ideas of stores are: Target, Walmart, Cub Foods, Holiday.

Mitten Tree
Social Ministry will have a mitten tree planted for the month of November and December. Bring in children's and women's NEW hats, scarves and mittens. Everything that grows on the tree will be delivered to Centennial Schools and to the Alexander House. If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Collard at cksmcollard@comcast.net
Congratulations to this year's Tanzania Quilt winner - Charleen McCracken!

As you can see, she is in love with the quilt and is so excited that she won - she's never won something like this before! She plans to bring the quilt up to her cabin so everyone can enjoy it!

Thank you for all of you support for our partnership in Tanzania!
It’s a Wonderful Life - Presented by CHS Theatre
Don’t miss this opportunity to see this holiday classic! And the best part is that George Bailey is played by our very own Peter Mundale! Tickets are now on sale and can only be purchased online this year. On Wednesday December 1st, the senior preview is happening and it’s free! Go to www.CentennialTheatre.org for more information and to purchase.
St. Mark Holiday Bazaar Recap
The Bazaar team would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2021 Bazaar such a fun experience after our long absence. Thank you to the following:
  • The people who put up and took down or passed out flyers
  • The decorating crew
  • The many, many bakers!
  • The youth who put up tables
  • The dedicated individuals who took down tables and put the church in order
  • The girls who ran the Youth Raffle
  • The Chili Chef and kitchen helpers for the to-go lunches
  • Last by not least the vendors
We’re already looking forward to next year’s bazaar! A big thank you to Cindy, Nora and Susan for coordinating everything this year!
November's It's the Little Things Experiment
are ready for pick up!

For this month’s experiment, we are inviting you to to take some time to read through the scriptures. This is a time to just reflect on how your faith has grown or changed over the last few years. Remembering, that the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed. Even though it's the smallest of all seeds, it grows into the largest tree.
If you haven't picked up the last few months of experiments, they are available at church
Livestream Update
Everything was installed on Thursday!! We are so excited that this project is coming to a close! We continue to ask for patience as we learn how to live stream with the camera. Our goal is to be up and going live with our new equipment by Christmas. Thank you again for all your patience and financial support!

If you would like to help offset the cost, please put ‘Sound System Move” on your donation or using the online donation line names Sound System Move. The remaining amount will come from the capital improvements fund.

If you have any questions, please let the council know.

The schedule for greeters, ushers, lectors, prayers and communion assistants is now out for the remainder of the year. You can find a copy of it here.
