Important:
SBDC on Discovery Channel's Undercover Billionaire
|
|
LA SBDC centers started to see some new client inquiries late August/early September, as a result of the SBDC shout-out on the Discovery Channel's new series
Undercover Billionaire
.
In case you haven't caught it yet, the show follows self-made billionaire
Glenn Stearns
as he sets out to prove that "the American Dream is still alive." He
bets he can create a million-dollar company in just 90 days, without using any of his previous connections, and with only $100 in his pocket.
Stearns, known as Glenn Bryant on the show, visits the SBDC at Gannon University in Erie, PA in search of business advice. You can catch the SBDC segment throughout episode #2 - "
Start Up or Die Trying
" on The Discovery Channel.
Hurry! This episode will expire in 4 days!
Several of our centers have reported that they have received calls over the last few weeks as a result of Glenn's endorsement of the SBDCs across the country. On the show Glenn mentions that SBDCs provide
office space
in addition to business advising, so you may receive some calls asking about setting up shop in your office.
Favorite inquiry so far, to Long Beach center: "I want to make $60K in 60 days!"
